Yahweh gave me a new heart!!!

It had been a long time that I was not feeling well, but if you are allergic to many medications as I am then you do not go to the doctor easily. You keep quiet and live only from day to day as if everything is fine.

You don't complain either, because ...the people close to you already know that when you start complaining they must get you to a doctor quickly...

I sat waiting on the results of my ECG in the doctor's office and tried to convince myself that it's not so bad even after seeing the worried look on his face when he left the room to go and make sure that the ECG had been done correctly.

I explained the constant chest pain as a wind that got stuck somewhere or whatever. Everything except my heart. Every so often the lady checked on me to see if I am still okay. It is a lady who did the ECG and by that time I really realized that in my heart everything is not as well with me as I thought.

And then...."Ma'm, you should immediately be admitted into hospital so that they can operate on you." The results showed that my arteries were blocked and that it affected my heart. I knew by then that I had high cholesterol, but I also knew how long I've been praying for perfect health.

What now? How does something like this happen to a believer? This is what was going through my mind as I was waiting. I'm too am human and fallible.

In tears I told my husband that was sitting and waiting and said that we need to leave immediately because they booked me a place in the theater for tonight and it was already almost afternoon and there were a lot of things to be done before we could get away on the 3 hour drive to the hospital.

Suddenly a calm came over me and I told the doctor that's okay and that I'll go but I'm taking my Dad along to hospital! They then didn't get place for me in the hospital until the next day.

The next night just before they picked me up to go to theater my husband prayed for me for the last time and anointed me with oil. I told the cardiologist who was with me that I'm not afraid because I'm taking my Dad along with me into the theater.

In the theater they pushed a small camera into my groin, up to my heart to see where they need to insert the stents to open up the constrictions in my arteries. I was gazing at the monitor to see what they were doing because they do it while you are awake but with local anesthesia.

My place in the ICU was already booked for when I was going to come out of theater. The next moment I heard the surgeon calling everyone to come and see my heart on the screen, because he said it has been a long time since he had seen someone of my age, or rather, someone with such a healthy heart as mine!

There was no sign of an enlarged heart or any tightening in my veins anywhere. Rather he said that my veins were smooth on the inside. A miracle happened! My Father healed my heart, but I had to go into the operating room because my faith had to be tested. Or so I believe.

The doctor and nurses were amazed, but not me because I know that I know that my Heavenly Father hears me. We just have to ask. After they closed the artery again I was admitted to normal ward and the first thing my husband tells me is: "Your faith has saved you." All I can say is "All glory to Yahweh/G-d!" AMEN! :)
