I like Irvin Baxter's (End of the Age) take on the Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse. Four major belief systems that have evolved in the world, in the obvious latter days. No room to cover it all here, but find it on the net, or watch on the Church Channel Monday nights or order the videos.
Here's a twist I got to thinking about. If we narrowed the study from "the world", to "the United States" in general, one could surmise that "the white man" went forth from Britain, with a bow to find religious freedom peacefully, without arrows.
But, they were confronted by "the red man", who did have arrows and understandably wanted war against the intruder. The white man conquered, but since Christianity was the dominant religion they seeked freedom for, they should have known better than anyone that slavery was wrong, period.
Still, they allowed it, and brought "the black man" to perform it, who slowly balanced the scales of equality. Now, what's left? "the pale man," who is everyone else who resides here, but worships anything and everything, but Christ.
What's worse is that laid-back Christians have allowed it to grow like a cancer. That, my friends is sick, and eventually, Death and Hell will follow with it.
