Has Peter Benton "fallen from grace?"

The term "fallen from grace" is often used erroneously to refer to pentecostal ministers who have committed some sin that requires them to be removed from their position in the church. However Paul in his letter to the churches in Galatia was referring to those who had rejected justification through faith in Christ and were instead seeking to gain it by keeping the law.

Even if Peter Benton had committed the sins of which he has been falsely accused he can't possibly have fallen from grace if he is trusting in Christ. Those who have fallen from grace are those who point the finger of accusation. It is the Holy Spirit's job to bring the conviction of sin that leads to repentance, not ours. It is Satan's job to distort the word of God, continue with the accusations and deny the work of Christ. And it is our job as Christians to know and understand the difference.

We're not connected to any particular church denomination. Although we believe in both the necessity and the importance of church denominations we also believe there is only one Holy Spirit who reveals Himself to all persons regardless of their denomination or church affiliation. For example this means that when a Roman Catholic, a Presbyterian or a Pentecostal testify to an experience of the Holy Spirit they are in reality talking about one and the same Spirit.
