Religion and survival value by: Dr. Richard Schulman
As a scientist, I confess to being an atheist. Thus, I seek no god. However, a belief in a deity should, as human behavior, be analyzed in its own right. To debate the existence of a deity is a waste of time. Such existence cannot be proven or shown to be in error. So, I think an important step is to examine why a belief in a deity(s) is of survival value to most, if not all, cultures.
