Mrs. Freeman reveals her terrifying experiences of growing up in South Carolina. In her book she talks about her childhood and of a near fatal car accident, a bizarre accident that sends her to the hospital again with a nail stuck in her skull, numerous times of being raped by her brother and losing her mom in a fatal car accident.

She then goes on to adulthood speaking of a broken and abusive marriage and of having to raise her daughter on her own. She speaks of being excluded by her church and of breast cancer. Ending with a conclusion of a beautiful relationship with God the Father, who loves us and wants to turn our tribulations, tests and trials into a testimony.
