Joseph Prince!! A False Prophet???

I find it interesting to note that, each time I read a comment from "a naysayer" or critic of Joseph Prince, no one ever quotes what the man speaks or teaches in error.

People come on here giving dire warnings of him being a false prophet; another quips, "he said two things wrong in two minutes"; then another spouts, "before you embrace what he is saying, compare it to the words of life".

It begs the question, "WHAT IS THE MAN TEACHING THAT YOU SAY IS ERROR ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE?" I am neither for or against Joseph Prince. I have listened to him speak on TV, and I like him so far. He has said a thing or two I disagree with.

But to slam him as a false teacher/prophet is a bit extreme. If you're going to criticize the man, substantiate your claims against him by quoting his erroneous sayings. Otherwise, you do not qualify to judge in this case, and should vacate the bench.

RE: I Totally Agree With You Jeff! I believe that's why God has anointed so many different kinds of people to preach/teach His Word because there are so many different kinds of people/critics down here on earth.

I mean, I've even seen poor ole Billy Graham accused of being a child of the devil. Now that's sad. He's just preachin the Word! C'mon.

So for the other shoe to drop, I need you to cite where you heard him teach these things. Either in his CDs (cite the title, vloume chapter, etc.) he mails out; or a TV program (date, channel, time of airing), and or an online link as a reference. You do this and from here, I will personally contact him and demand accountability for what he said.

Well, if you were a prophet in the Bible and you gave even ONE false prophesy....you were not a real prophet...you were a FALSE prophet.

Joseph Prince has said many unBiblical things:

1. "Christ died as us." NO...He died as a substitute for us...BIG diffference.

2. "He (Jesus) died as man." No...He died as God AND man then rose as God and man.

3. "Heaven found the pefect man and he is you." Where did he get that...if that were true then the Bible is false when it says we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

4. "Jesus is perfect and He is you." We are NOT Jesus....he our substitute....He is perfect...we are most definitely NOT.

I could go on but there are 4 huge errors and that is enough for me. Please don't be deluded...there are many deceivers out there. Put them up against scripture and scripture ONLY. With prayerful considereation, you will be able to know what is true and what is false.

I testify that I received Christ some 20 Years ago and have been serving in ministry for most of that time, during which I Have dealt with some known sin and have had no results in getting victory over them, The guilt and condemnation teaching going on in churches today that mix the law with Grace wouldn't allow me to gain victory but after Listening to Joseph Prince Teachings on The Gospel of Grace, Our Righteousness in Christ, Practicing the Love of God for us and not our love for him as well as many others, I have had victory over them all, I repeat them all, not that I'm boasting because I still have sin but those which were in the foremost part of my thinking that I was aware of God Has given me repentance. It truly is the Love of God that leads one to repentance, not law and commandments. So you can say what you want about his teaching but if you diligently apply what he teaches I can testify it works.

= Salvation from eternal lake of fire

I have been listening to Ptr. Prince teachings couple of days now which was introduced by my husband. Gospel of grace made me somewhat realize and understand more how Jesus loves us... Though we always have to remember that God is love at the same time God is just.... He hates sin.... We are all sinful in nature which we had inherited from 1st Adam... And so there will be a time that you are already commiting sin unconsciously ...James 4:17 says "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not , to him it is a sin "... Jesus commanded us to preach the gospel in season and in out of season (Matt. 28:18-20) this is the great commission to all who knows the Gospel of salvation,.... But ...... are we able to do this always? This is good... Which we ought to do but doeth not... Hence we sin.. However God's grace is so abundant and taught us of 1John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins , and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." ... That is why we ask forgiveness and be cleansed by the blood of Jesus everytime we pray...because we still sin..unconsciously, unintentionally.. even you're already born again in spirit...And only the blood of Jesus qualifies us to be the heir of God's kingdom. ...only His blood can wash our iniquities... What if we did not repent? What if we did not ask Jesus to cleanse us by His blood? ... Can we still enter the kingdom of God.. .? Thus it is necessary that a preacher tell us about God's love at the same time teach us God's justice.... In the first place Jesus died in the cross so we suffer not in Hell...eternal punishment of sin.... But then again Matthew 7:1 says (judge not, that ye be not judged) allow the Lord to reveal Himself to you through the help of the Holy Spirit... We too can be mightily used by God.... If you are rooted in God's word.. you'll never be deceived by any false prophet... All Christians should love and pray for one another and unite for God's righteousness sake...so others may believe and know Jesus as our Lord and Savior... The more we seek God the more we find Him, the more we find Him, the more we love Him... I like this song.. God bless us all and may His wisdom be upon us always :):)

I love to hear Pastor Prince's teaching.I am from Malaysia.His teachings are all biblical and with bible verses quoted.It is never dull to hear him preach.He can sing and always has a sense of humor.He is just an ordinary man like us and knows how we feel about falling into sins.I have lots of his CDs and tapes and they give very clear explanations.God bless you Pastor Prince!

I have listened to Joseph for years and ordered Destined to Reign, got a ways through it,when I got to the part where he trys to explain when the Bible is talking about Sheol,Hades, Gehenna, according to Joseph,these are not talking about Hell or even a place of eternal torment. I want to listen to him,because he is full of scripture and even revelation knowledge of alot of personal
thngs to me, but it seems like if you take hell out of your sermon,not that I have to dwell on hell hey theres a good name for Josephs next book. I dont dwell on hell but I 'm glad Jesus saved us from that seperation and when I walk out from underneath his covering which I have ,I have an advocate with the father,and yes why do we need an advocate?

I am sorry to hear that the teachers of your youth were so one-sided in their vocation. I hope that, that is not what you are reading into my post. However, a biased teaching about salvation one way over the other is erroneous as it is imbalanced teaching. The preaching against sin with the equal teaching of grace is what the elders are required to do. If Joseph Prince's teaching on grace far out ways any preaching against sin and its consequences, then he too is in error. The key here is balance between the teaching and preaching of the two. There is nothing wrong with preaching an entire sermon on sin, and ending it with an alter call. Then teaching an entire sermon on grace. This is one of a number of examples of striking an equal balance between the two. By the way, the fundamental teaching that we can not ever be good enough in what we do is accurate. If Christ dwells in us, He is the only righteousness God accepts from us. Christ is the Righteousness of God. Christ alone. If this teaching hurts your feelings, it is only because you are still trying to accept credit where it is not due. Isaiah 40:17 makes it plain and clear, "All nations before Him are as nothing, And they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless." Now, this scripture may not do much for your self-esteem, but if you have a problem with it, you might have an issue with humility. Check yourself. The only good and righteousness found in man is because man has received and allowed the only true and Righteous One to dwell inside of him/her. That is exclusively Jesus Christ.

I learned Jesus loves me in Sunday School and confessed my sin and received Jesus into my heart at age 8. Evangelical and fundamental churches and people spent the next 50 years telling me, "Yes, grace, BUT........" I tried to live the Christian life they outlined but always came up short in my own eyes and theirs. They always used scripture to back up what they said. I know God's Word very well. Always there was a belief that I just couldn't be good enough. This held true for many others as well. I love the Lord and His Word but the spirit of the law, to live up to the standard, quenched my belief that He loved me and caused self loathing. Which is sin! It's a lack of trust in what He says about me. The problem was the lack of teaching about the work that Christ did, not what I was doing. The emphasis was on sin, not on grace and righteousness. When we look on the brass snake, we don't see our sin, we see His righteousness. Please, those of you whom have been taught to see sin, look to the one who did the work for you and spend every day praising Him for this gospel of life, love, mercy, hope and peace. When the Spirit of Life is present in you, He will convict of the darkness in anothers heart. Your job is to represent what He has done. I was heartsick for a long time. I needed to hear how I am righteous because of what He did, not how to try harder in my own strength. That is pride to think that I can merit anything by my good works. It is all about Him. Joe Prince shares the wonderful things that God gave to us. The ministry is valid and I need to hear how I am accepted in the Beloved. I hope some of you can hear it too because you have entered back into bondage. Trust the Holy Spirit to lead you and ask God what His opinion is of Pastor Prince when you pray. LISTEN to hear what the Father feels about Joseph. Pray for Joseph Prince.

Your remark here begs the question, “Why are you saved, and from what?” Aren’t you saved from the eternal damnation of your sinful soul? If not, then you had no need of Jesus Christ, nor salvation, putting it bluntly. Christ did not come to those who were “righteous” but to the spiritually sick. (Matthew 9:12-13) The fact is, all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, even you. (Psalms 143:2; Romans 3:23; 5:12)
But if you feel you were righteous apart from receiving Christ, well scripture gives you a reality check. “all our righteousness are like filthy rags;” (Isaiah 64:6) And this state of man apart from Christ, God has condemned. Condemned to or for what? Everlasting destruction and torment of that soul in Hell fire. Believe it. (Mark 9:43-48) This is what Christ saved us from.
Here it is in a nutshell: God requires death as the price for sins of man (including your sins). The love of God is that, instead of killing man (you included), God sent His only begotten Son Who knew no sin (but ours), to die in our place. So God took our sin and put it on Christ and had Him nailed to the cross on Calvary. (Isaiah 53:5-10)
Make no mistake about it, if you are not being taught this, you are not being taught correctly, regardless of who your teacher/preacher is. If Joseph Prince is not preaching against sin and its biblical consequences, he is not preaching the Gospel accurately. Omitting to preach against sin and the penalty of Hell while preaching the love of God and Salvation, is to preach a weak Gospel that only produces weak and spiritually lame Christians.
By the way, I won’t even respond to your ridiculous assumptions about my upbringing in the Lord. By these remarks it’s quite obvious you have quite a bit of scripture studying to do. Read the Bible for yourself, in its entirety. No more than a chapter at a time. Meditate upon the Word of God. This will give the Holy Spirit time to illuminate your mind with the light of understanding of what God is saying through His Word. Then you can judge anybody alleging to preach/teach the Word of God by what you will know what the scripture is saying. Because right now, you do not qualify to judge anyone’s preaching/teaching of the Word of God. You certainly do not qualify to judge me, being ignorant of who I am and particularly, my upbringing in the Lord.

I listen to Joseph Prince and I can not see in any way that he is not teaching the truth of God.
I believe in my heart that God wants us to come to salvation out of love not fear of wrath. DO you want you children to love you out of fear or because you love them. I believe that he is teaching the love of God because that is the greatest commandment is that we love Him with all of our heart,soul , mind and strength. Love cast out fear. Why should he preach that to get people to come to Christ. I believe Jesus preached on love of the Father to draw them to him. Where is your head at. It sounds like you were brought up in a overly deciplined life style who forgot to show both love or maybe it was not respect it was
'do as I say' bringing up. Maybe it was hell and brimstone. Jesus had a better method . I think I'd go with the love method as Jesus did. Linda

It is altruistic to think the preaching of the gospel of the love of God and how He saves the believer from their sin through Jesus Christ, is enough for people to turn from their sin and receive Christ and become saved.

The reality is, that if there is no consequence for not receiving Christ for salvation sake, why become saved? Love, even the love of the living God is not enough for most to come to Him. But knowing the wrath of God that abideth upon them who die in their sin, that gets most people's attention.

This is why the complete gospel of salvation adequately preached, NEVER excludes the preaching of the consequences for not receiving the gift of salvation.

Remember everyone is to "work out their own salvation with FEAR and trembling." Fear of What? The wrath of God upon rejecting Him and disobedience. Only fools have no fear of God and His judgment upon sin.

Should hell and condemnation be the focus to choose salvation in Christ? Or is liberation from our self destructive nature, being returned to our True Father, and all that encapsulates, be where we should make our decisions? Which is a better foundation to build on? One based on fear that retains guilt which can lead to empty worship? Or one based on a transformation of the mind and the heart that embraces Jesus in willful honest worship? It seeems that we sometimes loose perspective when we are focused on trying to be right on one point.
Brother Prince has been one of very few servants who has helped this Christian to regain a perspective leading to the working out of my salvation. Hopefully leading to benefitting those around me.

Pastor Prince does talk about judgment and condemnation. And what do these refer to? Where do the convicted and condemned go after judgment? To hell of course. The fiery lake. They can't be going to streets of gold and fields of dandelions.

But he chooses to focus on Jesus and the finished work. Of how Christ has ransomed us from the curse, of how there is now therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ.

The law brings out our transgressions and all who have sinned fall short of the glory of God. We can bring out the sins of people, show them hell and brimstone and win their hearts over.

But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?

We can beat the people silly, show them that they fall short, and win their hearts. Or we can show them the person of Jesus Christ, how he bore everything on the cross and how by one Man's finished work we all are made righteous.

Joseph Prince is a new covenant preacher who hears the voice of God loudly and clearly.

It is unfortunate that many people have false notions about Jesus Christ. The whole point in Christ's preaching was to save humanity from the eternal penalty of Hell.

In His preachings, He warned about Hell quite often. I am citing just one among several examples. Matthew 13:47-50 says,

47 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind, 48 which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, 50 and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

But your opinion does nothing to address the accusation against Joseph Prince. Where has he preached and warned about Hell?

Someone else has accused him of this, not me. So I'm asking the devotees to cite any reference of Joseph Prince where he has warned about going to Hell.

So far, no one has done it. I make no assumptions, but is the accusation true? Does Joseph Prince have a witness among any of his listeners that he has taught and warned against going to Hell?

They must cite a reference proving he has done so. A simple "yes, he did" doesn't cut it.

To the guy that wants to know if Joseph Prince talks about hell.. when Jesus would speak it was mostly love and grace towards sinners, hell wasnt made for us and having faith that we won't ever have to go there gives you confidence and assurance to walk righteously through Christ.

I did ask for evidence of what he is saying is false or inaccurate. It is a fair call to say he is leaving out the preaching of Hell and damnation. Now all we need is for one of his supporters to quote a reference of where he has done this, and you would have to recant what you've said about him. So, is there anybody out there that can prove Joseph Prince has taught about Hell, and warning people about the place?

like i said before joseph prince is preaching a one side gospel, it is what he is leaving out that is not all that appears right.

whether he is aware of this or not, i am not certain, but certainly the Bible does talk about man with itching ears, listening to a gospel which is no gospel at all because it negates facts that Christians will suffer persecution, trails and tribulations for the sake of the gospel.

if joseph prince never preaches about hell, then their is definitely something to worry about.

jesus saved us from an eternity of hell of which is not proclaimed in his book nor preaching. if i am wrong, then show me when and where he has talks about repentance from sin, holiness and the eternal lake of fire.

even if he is not a pastor, he would know about this, but it may not be too popular with his audience, so he rather be pleasing men and not God.

is it not ironic his last name is prince, satan is also known as the prince of darkness.

Joseph Prince preaches pure GRACE , and this is what his critics have against him. Churches whether orthodox,pentecostal,charismatic ,faith have all preached a doctrine that mixed "grace & law" i think purely because man is afraid of pure grace as they believe this gives man a license to sin,so they preachers ,pastors,ministers through the ages mix the law with GRACE(Gospel) to keep man in line (they hope!yet we all still break every commandment one way or the other), but Jesus says that the power of sin is in the law & the power to overcome sin is in the finished work of CHRIST on the cross,which Grace - the Gospel- JESUS doing for man what we can't do for ourselves i.e trying to earn salvation by keeping the law .Pastor Joseph Prince just preaches Grace as found in Romans, Galatians that says we are no longer under the law but GRACE .Because of this , he is branded a heretic.

i think that people are more afraid to admit that they missed the truth of what Pastor Prince is preaching ,mixing grace with law for centuries that when God anoints someone who is not scared to admit to wrong believing , his immediately branded a false prophet .... if the naysayers are true to themselves ,they will admit that believing a mixture of grace & law was very confusing and caused a schizo mentality in believers. READ Galatians , Romans for yourselves ... pastor Joseph Prince is preaching the Word
