Born June 2, 1959, he is an evangelist, Bible teacher, a popular conference speaker and co-host of The Messenger T.V. program, which is viewed in over 200 nations.

He worked under Benny Hinn at the Orlando Christian Center from the mid 1980s to 1990 as a youth pastor.
Messenger International was founded in 1990 by John and Lisa Bevere in Orlando, Florida.
In 2001, the ministry moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, and since has grown internationally with offices in the United Kingdom and Australia.

John Bevere has previously assigned to Messenger International all rights to his books, from which Messenger
International has received over the past five years more than $1,550,000 in royalties. In 2007 the ministry received royalties of $351,743.
This is a personal choice that John Bevere made because of his and Lisa's passion for sowing into the ministry of Jesus Christ.
In his book, Drawing Near, John explains it’s hard to want something you don’t know you are missing. Sadly, many believers have never experienced true intimacy with God because they don’t understand what it is or how to achieve it.
But we humans were created for intimate fellowship with God, and this has always been His deepest desire. Scripture clearly states that the Lord yearns for us and seeks those who pursue Him. Yet we must come to Jesus on His terms-not our own.
