Jack Hayford Ministries ministered a series for the Trinity Broadcasting Network called Teach Us To Pray, which continued until September 1980. In 1979 Pastor Hayford also taped the series, Ask Anything, which included his well-known “Nehemiah” teachings. These half-hour telecasts launched the Pastor's broadcast ministry.
Born June 25, 1934, in Los Angeles, California he is the president of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. In 1954, Dr. Jack Williams Hayford married Anna Smith, and together they now have four children and eleven grandchildren.
He graduated from L. I. F. E. Bible College in 1956 and from Azusa Pacific University in 1970. During that time, in 1969, Jack Hayford began ministering a small congregation, the First Foursquare Church of Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California.
This congregation of 19 people has since become known as The Church On The Way, one of the largest churches in Southern California. Dr. Hayford has been the president of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel since October 1, 2004.
Jack Hayford Ministries is also widely known for involvement in the Promise Keepers movement,
founder and chancellor of The King's College and Seminary, initiator of the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem and for some four-dozen books and 600 hymns and choruses.
Pastor Hayford is the author of the hymn "Majesty," which has proved extremely popular in churches worldwide since it was written in 1978.
