El Shaddai Ministries
El Shaddai Ministries chose the name El Shaddai for their ministries because there is no doubt He is the GREAT and MIGHTY GOD. The Ruach HaKadosh (Holy Spirit) gently but firmly persuaded the ministry to provide a place where people would come to celebrate a relationship with Abba--Father, on a journey of Torah observance.
The ministry started as a home group meeting in a living room. Soon, it outgrew the home setting and held it's first official service in January of 2001 at the Grange Hall in Edgewood WA. They had less than 20 people attend that first service.
Their assembly is made up of people from all faiths and walks of life that has grown to over 500 people, with thousands listening in from around the world. Even though the Ruach HaKadosh has guided them to larger places of worship, they have kept with the same core values. To those of you who have been with the ministry through all or parts of the last few years, it's been a wonderful journey indeed.
To those of you visiting and studying with the ministry, welcome! They meet for worship, teaching and fellowship from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Shabbat. Once a month they hold an Oneg meal after service and welcome others join them for the Oneg (meal) after service, if you should come to visit their congregation that day! They serve "kosher style dishes" which means that the food is Biblically clean, for example no predator or scavenger meat like pork, shellfish, catfish; no jell-o should be served and they observe Torah's dietary laws to the best of their ability.
Technically, "kosher" refers to any processed food that is processed under rabbinically approved supervision and is marked as such (a K or U within a circle, a K within a star or Beit). At home, in the restaurant or cafeteria, it is then prepared by and served with rabbinically approved methods. While they do not endorse rabbinically approved kosher products, they believe that the dietary laws are designed as a call to holiness.
The ministy's ability to distinguish between right and wrong, good and evil, pure and defiled, the sacred and the profane is very important. When they observe Torah's instruction in choosing what they will and will not eat, they ingrain the kind of self-control that teaches us how to subdue and overcome our most basic, primal instincts. Another benefit is that they cannot eat a meal without being reminded that we are called to holiness because we were bought with a price and belong to our heavenly Abba--Father.
On Mondays they meet to study the Torah Club Study Series, which you'll begin to see Yeshua revealed in Torah. You are welcomed to visit Monday nights at 7:00 pm for a thrilling study that will lift the veil, revealing Yeshua within Genesis through Deuteronomy ...what He called Torah.
