Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries

Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries is a non-profit organization committed to sharing the gospel of the love of Jesus Christ by providing hope to the hopeless, abused, disadvantaged and homeless men, women and children of theirr community in “rebuilding one life at a time”. By ministering to the total person, body, soul and spirit, together they help them to become faithful Christians discipled into a local church, rehabilitated, employed and living productive lives in restored families.

Founded in 1909, The Detroit Rescue Mission Ministry has embarked upon its 100th year of continued service providing food, shelter and services to intervene upon homelessness and substance addiction throughout Detroit and its surrounding metropolitan communities. DRMM is a faith-based, non-profit organization, recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and has devoted a wealth of resources to meet the basic needs of humanity while motivating individuals to rebuild their lives, one life at a time.

Shelter Residents stay overnight and are provided meals and the opportunity to shower and receive new clothing items. Shelter Counselors do an assessment with each resident, encourage and help residents apply for services and take steps to help them meet long term needs and assure that clients receive emergency medical or counseling needs.
