Charles Capps

Charles Capps is a retired farmer, land developer, and ordained minister who travels throughout the United States, sharing the truths of God's Word. He has taught Bible seminars for thirty years, sharing how Christians can apply the Word to the circumstances of life and live victoriously.

He is a major figure in the Word of Faith movement, and has had a great influence on the movement through his books.

Charles Capps has a ministry, Concepts of Faith, and is primarily a seminar speaker, although he also has a radio program and television program. Capps often speaks on issues related to Biblical prophecy.

For students of the Word of Faith movement, Capps' books are an invaluable resource. He has come close to systematizing Word of Faith theology. Kenneth E. Hagin's books (more accurately transcribed sermons) are dominated by personal anecdote.

Capps, while using anecdote, tends to concentrate on systematic exposition of the doctrines of the Word of Faith movement. The books tend to focus on the core doctrines of this movement, and avoid much of the sensationalism and hype of other sources.
