You can add a radio (with your own local stations) and watch your favorite (live) TV program and watch a video (like youtube) and surf the net ALL at the same time, I'm serious (I've done it). Of course you can't hear what everyone is saying at the same time but it can be done. It has an email notifier which automatically alerts you (by sounds or visual or both) of any new incoming mail from one or many different email accounts. It can also take you straight to your 'inbox' if you want it to.
The tv and/or video screen drop down from the toolbar in the top right hand corner, about the size of a bar of soap, completely out of the way of whatever you might be reading or doing. You can even add a news ticker window that shows current news moving across the tool-bar from right to left, which you can click on, if you want to read the whole news story.
The SurfBored search window (top left) doesn't play any games either, when it comes to searching. When you type in where you want to go, you're instantly there!
You can add social media tools (for example: allows you to log into your facebook/myspace/twitter/etc. accounts and update them directly from the toolbar). Almost anything can be added to this toolbar, even RSS feeds, chat, tickers, etc.
