Big Daddy Weave is a Christian rock band composed of Mike Weaver (lead singer), Jay Weaver, Jeremy Redmon, Jeff Jones and Joe Shirk.
Their popular songs include: Every Time I Breathe, Audience of One, In Christ, Fields of Grace, and Without You.
They are signed to Fervent Records.
The band met while in college at the University of Mobile.
Mike Weaver had been serving as worship leader of a Pensacola, Florida church and attending community college in the area.
He came to the university at the urging of his pastor, and studied voice.
Several of the members homes were heavily damaged in Hurricane Katrina. The parents of Mike and Jay Weaver lost their home in Gulf Breeze, Florida that also included the offices for the band.
In both 2006 and 2007, the group toured with Mark Schultz on his Broken and Beautiful Tour.
The band name came from a combination of Mike and Jay's last name, and their larger than average exteriors.

Big Daddy Weave has long been known for their poignant messages and words of encouragement through song and lyric. Known for their powerful radio hits such as "You're Worthy Of My Praise," "Audience Of One," and others, Big Daddy Weave comes to you with Every Time I Breathe. Their fourth record installment features the hit title track, "Let It Rise," and a new version of the Rich Mullins classic "Hold Me Jesus." Playing and touring together since the fall of 1998, brothers Mike and Jay Weaver and college-town friends Jeremy Redmon, Jeff Jones and Joe Shirk comprise Big Daddy Weave. Their contagious passion for ministry is the core of this group, but their unique sound keeps them from being another run-of-the-mill new artist. Combining a range of styles that have them often compared to mainstream favorite Dave Matthews Band or Christian pop mainstay Steven Curtis Chapman, their music has been described as acoustic pop/rock with a twist.
On One And Only, their debut project, both their sound and their focus are honed by performer, songwriter and now producer Jeromy Deibler of FFH ®. The indubitable force of the band is not the fluff and glitter of a packaged image, but instead the faith of these young men, and the revelation of that through their music. In fact, image is something that Big Daddy Weave hopes to portray in a new light.
