Pastor Wommack of Andrew Wommack Ministries once said,
“I firmly believe that any ministry which is not reproducing itself by making disciples (Matt. 28:19) is failing to do what the Lord told it to do.”
He was raised in a Christian home and was born again at the early age of eight.
He avoided the rebellious phase often associated with adolescents and teens and went in the opposite direction, becoming a modern-day Pharisee.
Andrew Wommack believed that by his own righteousness and good works, he could develop his relationship with the Lord. Then, on a Saturday night in 1968, everything changed. Andrew had an encounter with God that changed his life forever.
For him it was like looking into a mirror and seeing his reflection clearly for the first time. What did he see? He saw the reflection of a hypocrite, much like the Pharisees that Jesus rebuked.
He realized he had fallen into the bondage of legalism. He began confessing his self-righteousness, expecting the wrath of God to fall, but instead of wrath, God’s presence flooded him with love. Now he understood that he had been trying to earn God’s love by good works and religious performance. He said, “God’s love consumed me. When I was at my worst, God’s love was the strongest.” Andrew Wommack has never been the same since.
Andrew’s encounter with God motivated him
to make another life-changing decision. He decided to leave college to follow God’s leading in his life, even though he knew he would lose his student deferment.
Subsequently, he was drafted into the army and shipped to Vietnam, where he served as a chaplain’s assistant. As difficult and dangerous as things were on the front lines, this became a time that God used to ground Andrew in His Word and begin establishing the course of his life.
Upon his return, Andrew Wommack submitted to the call of God, a call to be a teacher of His Word. He and Jamie were married in 1972, and together they began teaching Bible studies. Over the next six years, they would pastor three small churches and complete their family with two sons, Joshua and Jonathan Peter.
In 1976, Andrew Wommack Ministries broadcast the first Gospel Truth radio program on a little country-and-western station in Childress, Texas. With the exception of a few months, he has been broadcasting the program ever since. Today he is heard across the country.
Andrew and Jamie moved Andrew Wommack Ministries to Colorado Springs in 1980 and continued to see God’s blessing as they followed the call to teach. By now, the vision was becoming quite clear: to teach the truth of the Gospel to the body of Christ throughout America and the world with special emphasis on God’s unconditional love and the balance between grace and faith.
They were fulfilling that vision by
traveling to speaking engagements, producing radio broadcasts, and distributing audio cassette tapes, millions of which were provided at no cost to those who could not afford them. But God had more.
God began speaking to Andrew about 2 Timothy 2:2. In that scripture Paul told Timothy to take the things that he had learned and commit them to faithful men who would be able to teach others. Andrew knew God wanted him to do the same.
In 1994 a cornerstone of the ministry was laid in place with the dedication of Charis Bible College —a college committed to equipping the saints for ministry by providing sound biblical teaching and practical “on-the-job” training. CBC now has extension colleges in other cities and countries as well as In-Church Bible Schools.
Then in January of 2000, Andrew Wommack ministries broadcast the first Gospel Truth television program on INSP Network. Response to the message was tremendous, and since then, DayStar Network and The Church Channel in the U.S., God Channel of Europe Network, and several individual television stations have been added.
Andrew Wommack Ministries continues to expand as God provides more opportunities and resources to take the nearly-too-good-to-be-true message of God’s unconditional love and grace to the world.
Charis Bible College is the perfect training ground for the preparation and development of ministry teams. But once they are trained, they must be sent. That is why Andrew Wommack Ministries has recently launched AWM World Outreach.

Popular Bible teacher and host of the Gospel Truth broadcast, Andrew Wommack takes on one of the biggest controversies of the church, the freedom of God's grace verses the faith of the believer. Wommack reveals that God's power is not released from only grace or only faith. God's blessings come through a balance of both grace and faith.
Addressing many of the misconceptions believers are taught in the Church today, this book opens up the Scriptures revealing the vital connection between grace and faith. Many believers think they walk in both grace and faith when actually they are misusing one or both of these principles. Wommack addresses:
- Some believers willingly sin believing God's grace will cover them, while the blessing of grace is not to sin, but to release guilt and condemnation when they make a mistake. - Other believers think they must "work" their faith by ritualistic prayer, confession, or Bible study. Although all these things are good, Jesus Christ set believers free from works of the law. God wants a relationship where He can communicate directly to each believer. - Grace and faith work together. When believers receive the unmerited favor or grace of God, they can release their faith without doubt or reservation and receive God's blessings.
Andrew Wommack in his logical, practical style brings believers back on track in their Christian walk through living in the balance of grace and faith.

Effortless Change - it sounds impossible. Yet, that's what the Word reveals about how the kingdom of God works. Most people view change as a difficult, painful, and labor-intensive process. To their way of thinking, it takes a huge amount of effort to change their thoughts, actions, and circumstances. Due to this, change is something they resist.
It's hard to change routines, traditions, and long-standing problems. People get stuck in ruts - ways of thinking and doing things. Therefore, there's just a natural resistance to change.
In this book, Andrew Wommack will share some truths with you from the Word of God that can totally transform the way you understand and approach change. If you receive these truths into your heart and apply them to your life, you'll be able to see change take place in your life effortlessly.
Andrew Wommack Ministries presents - Health is something everyone wants. Billions of dollars are spent each year trying to retain or restore health. It is a basic desire of all mankind. Anyone who likes sickness must be mentally sick! Yet, religion has told us that God is the one who wants us sick. It even tries to make us believe that sickness is a blessing. That's just not true. God wants you well.
Healing is in Christ's Atonement. Jesus died for our health just as much as He died for the forgiveness of our sins. This has to be the foundation of our faith for healing. Many Scriptures relate the healing of our bodies and the forgiveness of our sins in the same verse. Jesus went about healing all who were oppressed of the devil and told us to do the same. Jesus hasn't changed, it's the people who represent Him who have changed.
What about Paul's thorn in the flesh? It is commonly believed that the apostle Paul had a sickness for which he besought the Lord for healing three times, and the Lord wouldn't heal him. From that assumption, people teach that God sometimes wants us sick. In this book, Andrew reveals what Paul's thorn in the flesh was, and it wasn't sickness.
If it is God's will to heal everyone, then why isn't everyone healed? It's not because of God. And it's not just because we don't have enough faith. We do have the faith to be healed. Jesus said the problem is our unbelief - unbelief cancels out faith. Instead of trying to get more faith or bigger faith, we just need a pure faith that isn't negated by unbelief.
There are laws that govern the spiritual world just as there are laws that govern the physical realm. Electricity has been around since the beginning of the world, but mankind didn't benefit from electricity until recently, not because it didn't work, but because of our ignorance of the laws of electricity. Likewise, God's healing is here and available. It's only our ignorance of the laws which control the flow of God's power that keeps us from benefiting from it.
Many people, who truly love God with all of their heart, find it difficult to pray as they have been taught. And their once-vibrant relationship with the Lord has become stifled, mechanical, and lifeless. What they don't understand is that prayer is an opportunity to have communion with God---fellowship with the Father. Of course it includes requests because we need help from our Father every day, but it also includes a connection and friendship with God. You may find it amazing that God would talk with you just as a friend, but His greatest desire is for His children to know Him in much the same, intimate way as He knows them.
After 30 years of ministry, Andrew Wommack has discovered some important things about prayer including what prayer is and what it is not. You'll uncover the traditions and misconceptions in prayer and discover true and meaningful communion with God through Jesus' example of prayer. More importantly, you'll come to know a new, profound joy and fulfillment in your relationship with God, receiving the answers you need.
Do you still feel the guilt of past sins? Do you struggle to believe that you're really forgiven? Peace is available, because Jesus did everything for you on the cross so you could be free from judgement and fear. In The War is Over, Andrew Wommack reminds you of the extent of God's grace through Christ. As you read about all Jesus did for you, you'll be freed to receive God's blessings in a new way.
